Discover Primary Science Award

Latest news: June 2022

"Congratulations - your school has achieved an SFI Discover Science and Maths Award. We have evaluated your Log of Evidence and we are satisfied that you have met all the criteria for the Plaque of STEM.
Your school has provided evidence of children's engagement with STEM in the following areas:

  1. Science

  2. Technology

  3. Engineering

  4. Maths

  5. STEM Showcase

Here is some feedback on your Log of Evidence:

An amazing presentation of the tremendous amount of STEM work you have done throughout the year. I think Bord Failte should bring you on board to publicise the beauty of Donegal. Your video presentations illustrate so clearly the enjoyment students get from hand-on activities and exploring their world. Your students are so confident in front of the camera and describe so well the topic of the video. I love the connection between real life and engineering as you look at you bicycles and examine brakes, gears, wheels, etc. You are so right to call yourselves Engineers of the future and be proud of the many design and make projects you did. Your work on sustainability and travel is wonderful - great posters getting the message out there to drivers about "idling" and also making drivers aware of speed with your speed gun. It was a pleasure to review your log
